Supported Lodgings Scheme

This short-term accommodation service recruits caring landlords or landladies to provide housing and support for people with mental-health needs. It currently only operates in the London Borough of Greenwich and houses 44 people. The caring landlords and landladies undergo a comprehensive training programme to help residents develop the skills they need to move into their own homes. Houses are either mixed, or male or female exclusively. The caring landlord or landlady does not live in the same property as the residents, but visits twice a day.
