Last Friday, people that use Community Options services and staff came together for this year’s Christmas Winter Ball.
The much anticipated event meant that people enjoyed a buffet of tasty sandwiches and bites whist the Christmas music chimed in the background. People took part in an open-mic session and entertained their fellow guests with songs and poems.
The entertainment continued with Community Options’ very own Harmony choir, the charity’s singing for wellbeing project who come together every other Tuesday for practice. Their hard work paid off at the party, filling the space with a winter serenade of seasonal classics.
A Christmas raffle was next, made up of gifts and donations collected throughout the year. Items on the glittering table included a collectible Excitable Edgar toy and book from Waitrose, jam-packed hampers, cosmetic giftsets, luxurious duvets, gift vouchers and plenty of sweets and treats.
Once the prizes had all made their way to a winner, the party finale involved dancing the night away with friends and a team of Ceroc dancers entertaining with their freestyle jiving.
The Community Options’ Christmas party was a sparkling success. It brought all of the people who use our services together, for an evening of good cheer and laughter …which is exactly what Christmas is all about!
