Providing people with Flexible Support
in their Community
This service offers flexible support to individuals living in the community with severe and enduring mental health problems, including complex needs and dual diagnosis.
This support model is also used to help people with learning disabilities, alcohol and substance misuse and other social support needs. Support can be provided from 7am to 10pm, 365 days a year and is tailored to the needs of the individual. We currently provide two types of Flexible Support:
Intensive time limited support with people expected to move on within 6-8 weeks
Longer term support where people move on from the service within 6 months.
Community Support Services are currently provided by Community Options in the London Boroughs of: Bromley, Croydon, Newham and Tower Hamlets. We use a team of specialist staff including Support Workers, Occupational Therapists (OT) and OT Assistants to provide these flexible support services.
